How we build trust on CityAgent
All providers on CityAgent must complete a verification process before their profile goes live. This helps reduce fake profiles, impersonation, and misleading content while maintaining a more trusted platform.
How Verification Works
Submit Your Passport & Selfie
In your dashboard, upload a valid government-issued passport along with a clear, real-time selfie or short video.
Documents Reviewed
Using a combination of automated checks and manual review, your profile is verified.
Your Profile is Verified!
You will receive confirmation once approved in your dashboard. Your profile is now live so you can start connecting!
What We Check
Adult Verification
We review submitted materials to confirm the profile is associated with a real adult individual.
Document Readability
Uploaded passport images must be clear, readable, and unaltered.
Photo Consistency
At sign up, profile images must reasonably reflect the individual associated with the account.
Photo Continuity
After approval, newly uploaded profile photos may be reviewed for consistency with the verified account.
Privacy & Security
- Verification files are encrypted during upload and review.
- Verification is handled internally by designated verification staff only.
- Passport images, selfies, and videos are automatically deleted within 48 hours after review completion.
- We do not retain full passport documents, passport numbers, or personal addresses. We retain only a secure minimal confirmation record and verification references for future verification and photo consistency check.
FAQ
How long does it take?
Most verifications are reviewed within 24 hours. During high-volume periods, reviews may take up to 48 hours.
If verification is not approved, you’ll receive a clear explanation and can resubmit updated documents from your dashboard. Resubmissions are prioritized.
What if I change my look or update my photos?
Normal changes in appearance are expected and do not affect your verification status. If photos change significantly, we may request quick re-verification. Resubmissions are prioritized.
No automated penalties are applied without manual review. Failure to complete requested re-verification may result in account action.
What is a “verification reference”?
A secure, non-reversible marker created from submitted verification materials to help confirm future profile photos reasonably match the verified individual and maintain account integrity.
It cannot recreate your passport, selfie, video, or original images.
What happens to the “verification references” if I delete my account?
If your account is permanently deleted, associated references are also deleted.
